Endometritis

About one week after having my daughter Dru I ended up back in the hospital with Endometritis. This is an infection in the lining of the uterus. During the night I awoke with the chills and then the sweats. As the day progressed I started getting severe pains in my abdomen. When I was finally able to see the doctor I was admitted into the hospital for two days and placed on a heavy dose of antibiotics. The hardest part of my stay at the hospital was not all the testing, needles, poking, and probing but the fact that I had to stay a way from Dru that whole time.

Been Awhile

Just having a new baby it's been really hard for me to get to my blogging. Dru is now just over six weeks old and she is very spoiled. There is an eight year age gap between my youngest child and Dru and 13 years between my oldest and Dru. Needless to say there are always arms willing to hold her and that is definitely what she wants. If she is not being held she is probably crying which can be really hard on the ears.

Early Dismissal

Because of today's very cold temperatures, school was dismissed early. Alli got home around 12:30 and was very happy to have mommy all to herself before Cole and Becca came home. Once they were home she wasn't very happy and threw a small temper tantrum. Okay maybe it wasn't so small, but after about 1/2 hour she was better. All the kids were very happy to start their weekend early. I really hope we don't get the -25 below temps they are talking about. When it gets that low it seems like I just can't stay warm.

Baby

Baby Dru has still not arrived. I keep telling my doctor that she stopped my contractions so many times that she thinks she is suppose to stay inside me forever. I do have some a light at the end of the tunnel though. If I don't have her by Tuesday they will induce me. I am looking forward to that, however I have heard from friends that it is harder to be induced then to go into labor on your own. I am hoping that I do go on my own, but if I don't it won't be to much longer before Dru is finally here.

Nintendo DS

For Christmas Becca asked for gift cards from Target so she could save up for a Nintendo DS. She has saved all but $50.00 towards this. John and I thought for her birthday next week we would pitch in the difference and surprise her with her new Nintendo DS. Today after my doctors appointment we stopped at Target but they were still sold out of them and don't know when they will get anymore in. Hopefully soon because we have been looking since right after Christmas and they have been sold out since then.

Still Here

Well I am still pregnant. This baby sure acts like she wants to come into the world and meet us, but by the time we get to the hospital they turn us away. I sure hope the next time we go she decides to make her arrival as we all are getting very excited to meet Dru.
