Sweet Corn

In just a little while it will be time to freeze the sweet corn that it is piled high on my deck. Last night, in the hot and humid weather, my husband was nice enough to pick a large load of sweet corn. My Uncle Alan was nice enough to give me a very easy recipe, which does not include boiling the corn or blanching it. The more simple the better for me. The recipe is to cut the corn off the cob, enough to fill a 9 x 13 pan, add 1/3 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp salt, 2 cups water, and 5 ice cubs.
