Big Brother 8
Love to watch Big Brother it is sooooo funny. Amber cries in every episode. Why? Come on. Why does everyone keep saving Jen. Jensa so needs to go! I am really starting to get tired of the whinning some people are doing. Evil Dick just adds so much contraversey. He really gets under the other house guests skins. Guess I will keep on watching and see if anything changes. Sure wish Nick wasn't on the block wish they would of kept Jen there.
Family Vacation
When it comes to planning a family vacation it seems like it always takes a lot of time and effort, which sometimes takes the fun out of planning where and what you will be doing. One of the biggest obstacles to overcome once figuring out the perfect destination is which hotel will we be staying at once we reach our desired location and is the price also within budget. The website that I have found that makes planning easier for family vacations or any type of getaways from an overnight stay to a business trip is at HotelReservations.com. This site will help you make Hotel Reservations just about anywhere, from the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia, but also many more places around the world. Not only can you make hotel reservations but you can also choose from many vacation rentals to vacation packages which includes mixing and matching airline flights and/or car rental along with your hotel. I like the one stop place I can go to book just the things I need for each individual trip I am planning. It is as easy as putting in the dates you plan to travel and checking for availability. Another great thing about this website is you don't have to book your trip online, if you have any questions there is an 800# easy to find so you are able to call a representative to find out any answers to any questions you may have. How convenient is that! Not only can you plan for small family vacations but also for large groups that may all want to go to the same vacation spot. To top it all off they not only offer great packages that are competitive but they may also be able to save you up to 70% off just by joining their Discount Club Membership. This discount club will send you monthly e-mails telling about their best deals for your favorite locations worldwide. "this is a paid post"

Garage Sales
Wow, I can't believe the luck my sister had today when she to one specific garage sale. She lives in a larger city so she always finds such good deals, however today was an exception. Mike and Trisha have been shopping around for a camper and went to look at one today. This was being sold by an individual who was also having this garage sale. I couldn't believe what she came home with! A crib, diaper bag, maternity clothes, and a boppy all free cuz they purchased the camper. Thanks little sis.

Much Needed Rain
Today is the first day since Monday that we have not gotten any rain. I am not complaining about the rain, in fact is was very much needed. I cannot believe how fast the the grass has greened up. It looks so much better when it is green vs. the brown dried up stuff. I guess this means we are back to mowing the lawn again. That's alright by me, I would rather have weather like this instead of lots of snow. That will come soon enough.

Shopping With Grandma
My daughter Becca spent the day with her grandma Kat. It sounds like they had quite the time. You have to realize that my mom is not the most patient person around, so to hear her talk about their time spent together shopping was very funny to me. They were on the hunt for an outfit for my daughter to wear to an up coming family wedding. Becca, who is 7 years old, finally picked out an outfit she thought fitting, but according to her the outfit was not quite right until they found the perfect shoes to go with the new skirt and top she had found. So it was off to the next store. Grandma Kat said she had to try on every shoe in her size, which took about one hour, when she finally came accross the pair she loved. She looked up at Grandma Kat and said "don't you think these complete my outfit?" How could grandma refuse anything with a comment like that. I just have to keep reminding mom that she is just like her other, dauthter Aunt Trisha, a little mini-me as we call her.
Healthy Eating Habits
Trying to have healthy eating habits now days with the hectic lifestyles most people lead can be a very difficult job, that's why I recommend My Daily Veggies. LaneLabs has created a way for busy families like mine to make sure we get the recommended daily allowance of vegetables. My Daily Veggies is 95% dried vegetables and 5% dried whole vegetable extract, there is no added sugar, salt, or preservatives. Each packet contains 2 servings of vegetables. You can add these packets right to your meals to add not only extra nutrition but also extra flavor and you can also add it to water to have a very nutritious drink. This is probably one of the things I like most about My Daily Veggies, as I have a daughter with Autism who has many food allergies and is very limited on the foods she can eat. Not only is she limited, but her likes of foods are also very limited so any time I can sneak in healthy foods without her knowing is a positive for me. We have chosen to help treat her Autism by using mostly organic foods and seeking alternative health treatments. To try this product and receive My Daily Veggies Free Sample please visit them and see what they can do for you. This is a great way for anyone looking for a healthy way to get veggies into your family daily meals . "this is a paid post"

Shopko Ad
In the mail today we recieved the latest ad from Shopko. I can't beleive there is already specials for school supplies. It seems like school just got out and now it's time to go school shopping so they can go back. Why does the summer go by so fast and the winter months seem to crawl. Oh well, I had better enjoy it why summer is still here.
Math
Sometimes math can be a little confusing even for children who have little problems with learning and picking up on things. That's why using math tutors for children who may need a little extra attention is something I am thankful for. Visiting Score Educational Center and realizing what they can do for children ages 4 - 14 really grabbed my attention. It is a very friendly site to use and has lots of information for parents who are looking for that little extra push for their child. Because they use fun and innovative ways to teach your child he/she will become more confident with their skills, which will make for a happier child. Visit them today and see what Score can do for you. "this is a paid post"
Basketball Camp
Tonight my son Cole is starting to pack and get ready to head off to basketball camp bright and early tomorrow morning. A few of his friends went to this camp earlier this week and have called him to say it's a killer. Up at 5:45 am and to bed at 10:30. The only time he will not be playing ball is during meal times, otherwise it's strictly basketball. Sounds like most of the day is fundamentals and games start at 8:00pm. Should would be nice to be a fly on the wall to see how things will go. I bet by the time he gets home I will have one tired young man. Hopefully this will be good for him and help him with his shooting and ball handling.

One of my favorite stores to shop at online is Best Buy, electronics sent right to your home without ever having to fight the crowds. If you're looking for great deals right at your fingertips I recommend visiting Coupon Chief and see what they can do for you. "this is a paid post"

Pregnancy
I have three children ages 12, 10, and 7. Our family of five is soon going to be a family of 6. I am still in my first trimester and getting more excited every week that passes. It has been such a long time since baby number three that this is almost like starting over. One thing I am very thankful for is how excited my children are about this new little addition. I have a feeling the time is going to go by super fast and that this little bundle of joy will be here before we know it.
Reading Tutors
Two out of three of my children have had developmental delays in reading. Being able to use reading tutors was a great way for my children to be able to finally excel and feeling comfortable with their reading, especially in front of their peers. The self confidence they have achieved is absolutely wonderful to see in both of them. "this is a paid post"
Birthday Party
Tonight we went to my Grandpa Dell's house for his 82nd birthday. Of course we had angel food cake and some of us had ice cream which was absolutely delicious. I am so thankful for every year that I have with my grandparents, they are one of precious gifts that god gives to all of us. My brother and his wife were there with their daughter Gracie. What a sweetheart she is, but what a stubborn streak she has. She must get that from her father. Well happy birthday Grandpa.
Keep Cash
With the busy lives that most people lead now days it is refreshing to know that you can shop from home to not only save time but to also save money. Who doesn't want that. One way of saving money and keeping cash in your pocket is to use a coupon from your favorite store and for your favorite products. One of my favorite stores to shop at is Target because of the wide variety they offer. The closest shopping area for me is a 30 minute drive, so being able to visit websites like KEEP CASH is not only a great way to save lots of money, but also gives me more time to be with my family instead of spending every saturday running to the store doing my weekly errands. No need to worry about expired coupons when visiting this website as the coupons and products offered are updated on a daily basis, which saves me time from clipping them from the sunday newspaper and watching them expire in my purse. This is also a very consumer friendly website that is easy to understand. For anyone who is wanting to do less running and spending more quality time with their family this is one way to acheive your goal. "this is a paid post"

Clearwater Lake
This past weekend my daughters and I went up to my parents cabin in Minnesota. What a fun and relaxing time we had. My sister, her husband, and my nephew came along with my parents. We did lots of eating, swimming, eating some more, sleeping and just catching up. I just love getting together with everyone and seeing how all the little ones change over time. It is fun to get away from home because you are required to relax because you don't feel like you have to be doing things all the time.

I have only been with PayPerPost for a very short time but the opportunities you receive to earn some extra cash is something to look forward to. Camping
Our family took a mini-vacation the weekend before the 4th of July. We decided to do an extended weekend of camping at a state park not to far from where we live. My children had a blast. They only wished we could have stayed longer. It was a beautiful weekend to be camping. We had the perfect spot, there was shade over our campsite the entire day which kept everything cool. We went with friends of ours who have a boat. This was great because we had the opportunity to do some relaxing boating and the kids got to do some tubeing behind the boat which was really the highlight of their trip. The sun was very hot on the lake and the boys did get a little red. Hope to get at least one more weekend in of camping. It is such a relaxing time and a good way to do things with really good friends. |

Gluten Free Diet
Have been trying to experiment with my 10 year old daughters glueten free diet. We have been giving her some glueten each day to see if she can tolerate it yet. Boy was this a mistake. We have been doing this for about 2 weeks now and the past 4 - 5 days she has been so crabby and uncontrollable. She will not go to bed at night without screaming for a least 2 hours first. If she is not eating something 24/7 she screams. She acts like she just doesn't know what she wants and gets very frustrated when when we cannot figure it out. This make my husband and I frustrated because we feel bad that we just don't know. Doing this little experiment just confirms to us that she needs to be on this gluten free diet. It just makes her life so much better. |

Orthodontics
Last Friday my 12 year old got his braces on. He has been so excited the past few weeks because he realized that he was finally going to get them put on. Boy, by nightfall he was not liking them so well. He has been having some discomfort with them. It's nice to see that they are already working. He really hasn't been able to eat much of the foods that he loves to eat because of his teeth being so sore. He also wasn't to happy with the list of foods he was given that he cannot eat. Of course, all his favorites like popcorn, chips, sugar drinks, corn on the cob, and the list goes on and on. I just hope he does what he was told by the orthodontist and he won't have to wear them as long. |
